Data we collect

Deposit Shield does not require account creation and does not intentionally collect personal account data for core app use.

How data is used

• Property records, room details, evidence notes, and communication proof are stored locally on your device.
• Imported photos and screenshots are used only to help you document move-in or move-out condition and keep related proof together.
• Notification permission is used only if you choose to enable lease-end or walkthrough reminders.
• App preferences such as reminder settings and Pro status are stored locally on your device.

Third parties

Based on the current app setup, Deposit Shield does not use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.

If you purchase Pro, payment is handled by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple account.

Your choices

• You can deny or revoke Photos or Notifications permissions in iPhone Settings at any time.
• You can delete records inside the app or remove the app to delete local data stored on your device.
• You can choose what evidence, screenshots, and notes to save for each property.
